My kids had THREE birthday parties to attend this weekend..! One of them was for twins! Lots of t-shirt making, tag making & bag decorating :)

For any of you who read my blog, you know from last Christmas that I always put a small tree in Olivia's room.. It's always been pink! Her room has been pink since she was 2 years old, until this past Summer.... This year it's aqua.. I'm still working on finishing touches. I'm trying to decide what to put over the bed.... something simple.. hmmm :)

I just went around the house taking random photos! Yep, you know it..!!! I got my Canon Rebel T2i... and early Christmas gift from Santa (AKA hubby).... I can't wait to learn all the settings! Plus we had a birthday party this past weekend for Zach, so all the beds were made... not something that happens often around here!
It was a rodeo/cowboy theme with a fun hayride!!!! Lots of yummy BBQ & great company! Check out the birthday banner made by "me"!.. Yee Haw!

Now that Thanksgiving has come & gone... Time for Christmas!!! I've got a few things up, but still so much more to do... I have not even begun working on the outside yet!! That's on my "things to do" list for this week. I am keeping it all pretty simple (I think). I always say that, then I want to keep adding stuff.
I decorated my tree with the old school lights! I love an old-fashioned tree with all the handmade ornaments that the kids make. I may even string some popcorn ;)
I made some assorted vinyl snowflakes for the windows.. Cute huh?? I've been wanting to add them to my Etsy shop, but haven't had the time. I'd be more than happy to make some for anyone who wants some too! :)
Hopefully Santa will leave that beautiful new DSLR camera under my tree!!! Have a Great Week!! :)

Anyone staying up all night for mid-night Black Friday shopping? This girl here is!! Yeah! Yeah!! I love the excitement & chaos.. Not that I don't have enough in my life already.. lol. It's been crazy around here, trying to get all the decorations out & get the house in order for the holidays... It's slowly but surely getting there!

I can't believe we are almost to mid-November! Things have been so busy my way, it's been a little crazy.. but such is life! And I can't complain..! :)
I've been working on some Christmas items & decals! Plus trying to get my house in order & cleaned so that I can start decorating in the next couple weeks. I made some numbers today for our stairway! I think they turned out really cute.. I added them to my shop ;)

Sew sew looong....

It has been years since I have wanted anything to do with a sewing machine. I had enough of it in high school home ec courses.. 3 years of typing & 2 years of sewing. I never did give up typing... not with computers these days. But when I was young, sewing grew old.
I went to a vocational high school & majored in most all home ec & business classes. At that time I had no idea what I wanted to do after graduation, so I prepared for an office job. It wasn't until a year after high school that I decided I wanted to be a nurse. Got my first nursing job in kidney dialysis & worked in the field for almost 12 years. I loved every minute of it. It was one of the biggest parts of my life, until I had my kids. I quit work after I had my second child & haven't been back since. Not that I wouldn't like to someday, but with the hours & demands... it's very hard as a mom.
I am currently loving building my little indie business.. I really enjoy the crafting & creating with each project I do. It's been a slow & very expensive process. Sometimes I feel like I don't have enough time to do everything I can do & need to do.. but I am soooo thankful for the customers I have had thus far! It's really paying off.
Pinterest has been very inspiring to me & I can't say enough good about it. I love the ideas I get & all the creativity of others. It really motivates me to want to expand & do more! I feel so productive after pinning...

I did some seasonal decorating this afternoon. I have to admit, I'm not a big Halloween fan, so I don't go overboard with decorating for it.. I tend to go more towards pumpkins & fall decor without all the witchcraft & creepy stuff, but I do like to add a few simple decorations here & there. I got an idea from Pinterest to make vinyl bat decals for the garage door. I think they turned out pretty cool :) Last year I put a spider in our upstairs window, but he was so hard to notice. These guys are pretty bold.. ha!

I love Anthropologie!! I wish there was a store a little closer to my house so I could visit more often. I am so in love with this shower curtain here!! But I just can't see spending over $100 on it.. Maybe I can try making one similar!! I would love it for my daughter's bathroom!

I've purchased some new supplies & have been having so much fun creating! I'm considering getting a craft booth or maybe even a booth at the flea market/farmer's market in the next few weeks. The weather is still a little warm, but it's beginning to feel like Fall.. I love being outdoors this time of year.

Hard to believe Summer is almost to an end..! Now that the kids are back in school.. It's back to work for me! I have been working on sponsor banners for our little league football association.. This is Zach's first year playing & Olivia's 3rd year cheering. My husband is coaching the varsity team.. so we are pretty much living at the park...

It's Summer time!!

The days seem to be flying by! With the kids out of school, there is never a dull moment. Always something to do... or "clean"!! Lots of grilling & enjoying the relaxing "no commitment" schedules. If it were only a little cooler.. it's been close to 100 degrees almost everyday! HOT, HOT..! We have been working on cleaning & repairing our hot tub, that has been sitting unused for the past 2 years! I can't wait until it's done.. almost!!! I'm so ready to have a little Summer time cook-out get-together & entertain! :)
